US Marshals arrest Summerville man for attempted murder

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – US Marshals arrested a Summerville man Thursday wanted for an October shooting in Ladson.
Kelsey Unique Washington was arrested and charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
28-year-old Washington was found while working at New Realm Brewing Co. on Daniel Island and taken into custody by US Marshals. He was transported to the Hill Finklea Detention Center for booking.
Berkeley County deputies responded to a firearm disturbance on Winthrop Street on Oct. 3 right before 10 p.m., the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office said.
When they arrived, they made contact with the victim, who said he heard gunshots outside his home. He went outside to see what was happening and saw Washington outside his house.
The victim said Washington then fired several shots before fleeing in a vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.
