AUSTIN (KXAN) — It's opening night of Texas high school football playoffs Thursday, and Class 3A teams get the spotlight in the KBVO Game of the Week. Lexington and Rice Consolidated meet at Memorial Stadium in Bastrop in the Class 3A-Division II bi-district round, and the Eagles haven't allowed any points in their previous two games. Lexington shut out Comfort and Rogers by a combined score of 97-0 and finished second in District 13 behind Blanco. The winner will advance to the area round and face Stockdale or George West. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. with Roger Wallace, Keith Moreland and Noah Gross calling the action.
