PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A man was arrested yesterday on numerous charges in Providence after police responded to a domestic disturbance involving a knife.
According to a police report obtained by ABC6, officials were dispatched to Russo Street around 2:00 p.m.
The officer who responded said he observed a male, later identified as Yesster Cabrera, with blood on his hands standing in the middle of the road.
The victim, who was involved with Cabrera in the fight, told police that he had gotten off the bus and had gotten into a verbal argument with him.
Cabrera threatened to beat him up, and pulled out a knife.
A witness would later lead police into a residence where Cabrera had thrown the knife.
A neighbor said she had seen Cabrera with the knife before police had arrived on scene, and had thrown a chair at him.
Cabrera was treated for a laceration, and was charged with disorderly conduct, weapons other than firearms, and felony assault with a dangerous weapon.
