COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) — Coventry police have issued a BOLO (be on the lookout) for a car that was reported stolen out of Connecticut.
Capt. Ryan DeSisto told 12 News that police received a call around 3:30 a.m. Thursday that three masked people were going through vehicles outside of the caller's home in the area of Haywood Road.
After approaching the group, the witness said the suspects pointed what looked like a gun at them before driving off in a silver car, according to DeSisto.

The witness gave police a partial license plate, which allowed them to figure out the car was stolen.
As of 10:15 a.m., the car had not yet been found.
Police reminded residents to always lock their car doors, hide valuables, and avoid keeping keys inside vehicles to minimize the risk of a break-in.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
