VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - The Virginia Beach School Board unanimously voted to consolidate Bayside Middle School on Tuesday. Currently, only seventh- and eighth-graders are at the Middle School campus, while sixth-graders attend classes at a separate campus. According to Bayside's website, this was originally done to create a more intimate school environment. The sixth-grade campus, located at 4722 Jericho Road, was first implemented during the 2014-15 school year, after the consolidation of Kemps Landing Magnet School and Old Donation Center.
