RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A Randolph County man is facing child sex crime charges.
On March 25, the Randolph County Sheriff's Office got a report of a possible sex offense involving a minor.
The allegations were investigated and charges were sought against 31-year-old Aaron Michael Coltrane for five counts of felony statutory rape of a child and two counts of first-degree statutory sex offense with a child.
Former track coach charged with indecent liberties with student-athlete in North Carolina
On Tuesday, the RCSO's Criminal Apprehension Team found Coltrane and took him into custody. He was served with the outstanding warrant and is being held with no bond.
Coltrane made his first appearance in court on Wednesday.
