Man tied to 3 separate 'shots fired' calls in western Wisconsin town charged with 2 felonies

CAMPBELL, Wis. (WFRV) - A 21-year-old man was taken into custody after officers tied him to three separate 'shots fired' calls over a three-week span in western Wisconsin.
According to the Campbell Police Department, around 11:10 p.m. on October 26 and 7:30 p.m. on November 2, officers were called to the 1700 block of La Crescent Street after residents reported hearing four to five gunshots.

Then on the evening of November 11, around 7:40 p.m., another 'shots fired' call was reported in the 1600 block of La Crescent Street. This time, the caller reportedly heard seven to eight gunshots and was able to describe the suspect.
The suspect, later identified as 21-year-old Logan Smizek, was allegedly found intoxicated with a handgun by officers within five minutes after getting to La Crescent Street.
After an investigation that reportedly included video surveillance of Smizek firing the gun, officers found shell casings on the street. They discovered that multiple bullets hit a commercial building in the area.

Officers believe that Smizek was also allegedly responsible for the other two incidents.
Smizek was taken to the La Crosse County Jail and charged with Reckless Use of a Firearm, 2nd Degree Reckless Endangerdering Safety, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. He was released the next day on a signature bond.
