Hotel Polaris officially opens in Colorado Springs

(U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.) — Hotel Polaris, the brand new hotel at the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) officially opened its doors on Thursday, Nov. 14 in Colorado Springs.
Located at the North Entrance of USAFA and just off I-25 at 8989 North Gate Boulevard, Hotel Polaris features six food and beverage outlets including the 9th-floor rooftop bar, an outdoor pool and sun deck, and a full-service spa and fitness center.

Hotel Polaris also features the only immersive flight simulators at a hotel in the United States, a K9 Cadets dog-friendly program, and Junior Cadets kids’ activities, just to name a few.
On Thursday, several City and business leaders attended the launch celebration, which officially kicked off at 10 a.m. and included a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house. Guests were entertained by the Academy’s Aerodynamics acapella group and there was also a Color Guard presentation by the Air Force Academy Prep School.
Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade, Curtis Bova, General Manager of Hotel Polaris, and Mark Hille, President of the USAFA Association of Graduates and Air Force Academy Foundation, were among the expected speakers at Thursday's opening day event.
