(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A Denver-based dog hiking franchise, Hike Doggie, announced plans to expand in Colorado Springs. According to Hike Doggie, the service is for pet parents, who despite their best intentions, find themselves unable to provide their dog with the outdoor experiences they crave consistently. Then, the pups of all sizes are picked up in a customized bus with heating, A/C, a shower system, and individual dens, to ensure a cozy and safe ride for every dog, said Hike Doggie. The dogs are then taken to certified dog walkers and go on a two-hour adventure, going on every type of trail and path from serene parks and rolling hills to mountains and open plains. Hikes are limited to four dogs per hiker and three speeds are offered to make sure each dog gets the right amount of exercise. After the hike, dogs are pampered with treats, washed off, and towel-dried. Pet parents also get a curated photo album and notes, giving them an idea of how their dog's adventure went. Hike Doggie is looking for investors and said the initial investment to operate a single Hike Doggie ranges from $138,831 to $251,744.
