WESTERVILLE, Ohio (WCMH) -- A natural grocery store that has called central Ohio home for more than four decades is closing.
Raisin Rack Natural Food Market at 2545 W. Schrock Rd. in Westerville will welcome customers for the last time on Friday, the health store announced on social media. Shuttering after 41 years in business, the location opened in 1983 and had marked an expansion for the market whose original Canton store launched in 1978 and remains open.

"We are sorry we need to close, but the nature of brick-and-mortar retail has changed so much we were unable to extend our lease for another six years," the post read on social media. "The Columbus customers and staff will be difficult to leave behind."
The Westerville store is offering a clearance sale Thursday and Friday and emphasized that customers can still order their favorite items online. Central Ohio customers are encouraged to use their reward points before the Westerville market closes, as those points will only be redeemable for online orders or at the Canton store.
To make this process easier, Raisin Rack is allowing points to be cashed in no matter a shopper's balance. Westerville customers can no longer accumulate points due to a technical issue, the store noted. Gift cards can still be used in-store or for online orders.

The store is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
"Our family and staff deeply appreciate your loyalty to our store and hope we have changed lives as you have changed ours," the market said. "You will be missed."
