Bullets shatter window, hit 16yearold boy inside Austin home

A teenage boy was shot inside a home Wednesday night in Austin.The 16-year-old was inside a residence about 10:40 p.m. in the 600 block of North Lorel Avenue when gunfire smashed through a window and struck him in his hip, Chicago police said.The boy was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition, police said.No arrests were made and Area 4 detectives are investigating.
