ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Rochester Amerks are hosting Hockey Fights Cancer Night, presented by Cancer Support Community at Gilda's Club, for their home game on Saturday.
It's part of a league-wide campaign that has successfully raised more than $32 million since 1998 and continues to raise awareness and support those affected by cancer.
The Amerks are wearing special lavender-colored jerseys that will be auctioned off to benefit the Cancer Support Community at Gilda's Club.
