ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — For this GRE WHY ROC segment we are celebrating the winners of the 6th annual Grow-NY business competition. $3 million was awarded to food, beverage, and agriculture startups including the $1 million grand prize for Unibaio. Two teams near us also won. UdderWays from Albion got $500,000. Zordi of Oakfield won $250,000. Of note, each winning team must commit to operating in the region for at least one year while also providing a modest equity stake to Cornell that will fund future food and Ag entrepreneurship programming.
