How you can help improve Fresno's Active Transportation Plan
Nov 13, 2024
FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The City of Fresno is asking the community for feedback to update its Active Transportation Plan.
City officials announced Wednesday they were updating their 2017 Active Transportation Plan, which they say plans to "address Fresno's growth and evolving needs," to the 2024 Fresno Active Transportation Plan.
The plan, according to officials, improves active transportation by enhancing accessibility, safety and connectivity. Active transportation includes walking, biking, wheelchair use and other human-powered travel modes.
The city says the updated ATP introduces new strategies informed by the latest data and community input, aiming to increase active transportation use while supporting environmental sustainability, public health and social equity.
