AIC hockey moves to Division 2 after 27 seasons

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Some major changes have been made to a hockey program at a local college.
After 27 seasons as a Division 1 team, American International College in Springfield has dropped its hockey program down to Division 2.
In a statement, college officials claim the changes will provide fair distribution of resources, for all the athletic programs. The hockey team is currently in season and extends through February. AIC also announced they will eliminate women's tennis and wrestling.
