WEATHER ALERT: Elevated Brush Fire Risk. Dry brush, low humidity continue. Dry weather will extend through the week as drought conditions persist. Please, no outdoor burning and be careful how you discard smoking materials.
Good Thursday Morning
Much colder through the pre-dawn hours with temperatures in the 20s. We expect a gradual warming trend starting Friday afternoon and especially this weekend. Unfortunately, there is not much rain in sight over the next seven days.
Elevated brush fire risk continues. Please no outdoor burning and be careful how you discard smoking materials. Also, lawn mowers and other engines can get hot enough to spark a fire...please be careful.
Drought conditions continue here in Southern New England. Most of Rhode Island is considered to be in a moderate drought. The latest drought information will be released this Thursday morning, but it will likely only be expanded across the area.
