EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas relocates to a new facility in Central El Paso, it remains the only facility in West Texas. The new 4,800-square-foot health center will replace the existing health center on Missouri Avenue. The new facility is located at 1061 Chelsea St. The facility offers a range of services including contraception, STI testing and treatment, breast and cervical cancer screenings, vaccines and gender-affirming care. Other features include expanded patient spaces, an on-site laboratory and pharmacy, community outreach, advocacy, education offices and a community meeting room. "I would say to anyone who maybe is unhappy with our presence in the community or this mission, that they just take a moment and pause and really examine what could possibly be wrong with empowering a person to claim their educational future, to claim their professional future, to plan and space their pregnancies and have control of the families they build or choose not to build?" Xochitl Rodriguez, Philanthropy and Community Affairs officer for Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas said.
