BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Louisiana State Police arrested a 30-year-old man who was accused of having child sexual abuse material. According to LSP, starting in August 2024, the LSP Special Victims Unit, the Louisiana Attorney General's Office, the Department of Homeland Security and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) started an investigation into the possession of child sexual abuse material. During the investigation, on Nov. 12, detectives conducted a search warrant of a home belonging to Jesse M. Nigro, of Sorrento. Nigro was later arrested and booked into the Ascension Parish Jail on charges of distribution of child sexual abuse material under the age of 13 and two counts of possession of child sexual abuse material under the age of 13. Police say this is an ongoing investigation.
