FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Multiple closures along local highways in Fresno will take place this week beginning Wednesday, Caltrans announced. Officials say maintenance repair will begin Wednesday and end Friday for Highway 99 and Highway 180 in Fresno. Caltrans reports, beginning Wednesday, the following closures will occur between 10 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.: Southbound Highway 99 at the Fresno Street onramp Southbound Highway 99 auxiliary lane from Fresno Street to Kern Street overcrossing Additionally, on Wednesday, officials say the northbound Highway 99 offramp at Ventura Avenue will be closed from 10:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Then, on Thursday Caltrans will have the westbound Highway 180 circle onramp at Fowler Avenue closed off between 9 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Officials say the final road closure will occur on Friday on the eastbound Highway 180 straight onramp at Marks Avenue from 9 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Caltrans says uncontrollable events, such as weather, may force the closures to extend for longer periods of time. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes amid the closures.
