WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) -- Employees at Eisenhower National Airport put on a rodeo Tuesday, but not with bulls and broncos.
Instead, workers jumped on snowplows for a snow rodeo. The goal was to allow them to practice with the snow equipment before the season's first snow in Wichita.
"We have a lot of new operators that are out here operating the equipment in formation for the first time," Nathaniel Hinkel, Wichita Airport Authority, said. "While they've planned it out and they've driven the equipment over the past several months, this is the first time they are able to practice the actual snow-removing formations that they would do in an actual storm."
