Baystate Health said they are working to find alternate positions for people whose jobs were eliminated. Eligible employees who are not moved to other positions will receive severance pay and other job support, including access to career transition services.
Baystate Health has seen $300 million in operating losses over the past few years. They said the current transformation will allow the hospital group to invest $1.2 billion back into the hospital, its employees, and the community over the next six years.
Baystate Health continues to recruit and hire physicians, Advanced Practice Providers and bedside caregivers.
