NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The historic St. James Hotel in Cimarron, New Mexico, closed its doors earlier this year, but is now coming under new ownership. Governor appoints new division director of New Mexico Film Office The hotel has been acquired by M Vacation Properties & Resorts, which is headquartered in Red River. The hotel was built in the late 1800's and was frequented by people such as Annie Oakley, Jesse James and Buffalo Bill, among others. M Vacation Properties & Resorts says they will keep the property mostly as it was when it shut its doors in September, with the addition of new menu items in the hotel's restaurant. They also plan on holding various events and concerts during the summer. They are hoping to reopen for booking on December 20.
