BETHANY, Okla. (KFOR) — Two separate water issues are impacting a Bethany neighborhood and it's leading to flooded streets, with some neighbors losing water pressure. People who live there said one break started Saturday, the other one started Tuesday. "After my second call, they did send somebody out here to look at it and told me that this was not an emergency," said Terri Cobb, who lives in the neighborhood. "I contacted the emergency number for the city. Talked to a gentleman there," said Cobb. Cobb said she called the city multiple times and was told the bubbling water would be fixed on Tuesday. "They didn't come. So I made another phone call and they said, well, there's a lot of other leaks in the city, so we have to take care of those first," said Cobb. (KFOR) Around the corner, there are more water worries in the neighborhood. On Tuesday, an OG&E contractor hit a water line. OG&E sent a statement to News 4: An OG&E contractor was working in the area to replace underground equipment that will improve reliability for an underground circuit. The contractors contacted the city after the water line break, and we are working with the city to address the issue. Once the water line is repaired, the OG&E contractors will return to complete the underground work. Oklahoma Gas & Electric (OG&E) That broken line caused a back alley to flood and some families to lose water pressure. Neighbors told News 4 they haven't been able to flush the toilet or wash the dishes with the pressure so low. They said the break done by OG&E should be cleaned up by Wednesday night. The other break in the neighborhood is on their list, but there's no set time frame as to when that will be fixed.
