METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — Ahead of Jefferson Parish's Bicentennial, the Jefferson Chamber Foundation unveiled a poster commemorating its 200th anniversary. Local artist Becky Fos created the piece that foundation organizers said "captured the unique spirit and vibrant atmosphere of Jefferson Parish." Lighthouse Louisiana gets $10M for Pathways to Success Project In the poster, you can see the Crescent City Connection bridge, the Jefferson Parish Government Center, a line of cypress trees a fishing boat and the state bird the Pelican sitting with its young on the banks of the water. (Courtesy/Jefferson Chamber Foundation) The poster is available for purchase with the proceeds benefitting the Jefferson Parish Community Foundation for initiatives promoting a positive change in the community, according to foundation organizers.
