Rene's Bakery holds softopening hours, plans December reopening
Nov 13, 2024
BROAD RIPPLE, Ind. — Following an announcement of indefinite closure, a bakery that has served the Broad Ripple community for two decades said they will host limited weekend hours on Tuesday.
According to an Instagram post, Rene's Bakery, Inc. stated they will open their doors every Saturday and Sunday for the next few weekends, starting at 10 a.m. and lasting until items sell out.
The bakery referred to these times as "soft-opening hours". They plan to fully reopen in December.
Isaac Roman (a Rene's bread baker of four years) and Thomas Hays (a Rene's customer of 15+ years with experience in the Cunningham Restaurant Group, who has opened several restaurants himself) are now the two owners of Rene's Bakery, another Instagram post read. This follows founder Rene Trevino's laryngeal cancer diagnosis.
Rene's is a cash-only business until their card system gets set up, the bakery wrote on Instagram.
