Crews work to put out Appleton house fire before spreading to nearby home, $120K in damages

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - Fire crews in Appleton quickly worked to put out a fire at a home on Welcome Circle Tuesday night that caused an estimated $120,000 in damages.
According to the Appleton Fire Department, crews responded to a home on Welcome Circle around 7:30 p.m. on November 12.
When crews arrived smoke and fire were seen coming from a bedroom of a home with a neighboring home nearby. It was noted that all of the residents were able to safely evacuate.

The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes and no injuries were reported.
Officials say the damage to the building and its contents is estimated to be roughly $120,000. A cause is yet to be determined.
"The Appleton Fire Department would like to remind residents to know two ways out of every room. It is important to know two ways out in case one is blocked or dangerous," officials with the Appleton FD stated in a release.
