Grab your umbrella! A weather system is set to bring widespread rain to northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. You'll want to stay dry if you have plans this evening. Look for rain showers to arrive around 7 to 9 PM, overspreading the area from west to east. Rain will then continue overnight with pockets of heavy rain in the mix. Overnight lows will drop down into the mid-to-upper 40s and it will be windy; watch out for occasional gusts up to 30 mph. Rain moves in this evening.Rain will be widespread tonight.Pockets of heavier rain are anticipated.The heaviest rain wraps up around sunrise Thursday. After sunrise Thursday, the rain becomes more scattered in nature and eventually tapers off by our Thursday evening. So, while you'll still need the umbrella Thursday, note the heavier rain activity will be more sporadic. The chance for a persistent mist/drizzle will exist though all day long. High temperatures will reach the mid-50s Thursday and we'll see occasional wind gusts up to 25 mph. When all is said and done, we'll enjoy a good soaking rainfall across the area. Amounts up to around an inch will be possible, but anticipate more locations to end up closer to three quarters of an inch. This is welcome news for the drought in place! Highs will be in the mid-50s Saturday and in the upper 50s Sunday. Next week will start off above average, but we're watching out for a more significant cold front to arrive later in the week.
