COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The South Carolina Department of Veterans Affairs has named its newest veteran of the year. Wednesday, a ceremony was held to honor Retired Army Command Sergeant Major Robert Clark. Retiring from the military in 2018, Clark completed over 32 years of active-duty service, receiving numerous awards and decorations along the way. Clark also serves within multiple organizations across Columbia including the NAACP Armed Forces committee, and the Democratic Party Veterans Council.
