CHARLOTTE, NC – Firefighters are on the scene of a 2-alarm fire at a paper recycling company near uptown Charlotte. The call came out around 3pm Wednesday about a fire at International Paper on East 28th Street. Charlotte fire says there was smoke coming from the business when firefighters arrived. Medic said two of its units responded, but there were no injuries. Drivers are asked to avoid the area. This is a developing story, check back for updates.
