Two men who were shot to death Tuesday night in Chinatown have been identified. Faliang Gao, 32, and Jianru Zheng, 33, both died of multiple gunshot wounds, autopsies Wednesday determined, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. Officers responded just before 10 p.m. to the 2400 block of South Normal Avenue, where they found two people who had been shot, Chicago police said. One of the victims who was found in front of a residence with multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body was dead at the scene, police said.The other victim was found at the back of the residence with a gunshot wound to his shoulder, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he died.The shooting may have happened inside the residence, police said. One woman who lives with her mother in the apartment complex where the shooting happened said she was nearby with a baby around the time of the shooting. "This could've been us," the woman, who declined to share her name, told the Sun-Times. "I don't feel safe." A trail of blood could be seen on the stairs of the apartment where the two men were shot. Feet away, a puddle of blood still remained on the sidewalk Wednesday morning. Near the complex, blood could be found on the passenger side of a white Audi. No arrests were reported.
