Park City, we’ve been here before. Many of us are feeling disappointment with where our country is headed. Elections are binary, but fortunately communities are not. What happens in D.C. can impact our rights, our economy and our global security, yet it has less impact on whether we build a better, stronger community around us. Whenever our values have been underrepresented on a state or federal level, Park City has dug in and worked harder at home. We found innovative and local ways to embrace renewable energy, support our underserved, build equity, and weather a frightening pandemic. We did that! For those who are feeling despair, I encourage you to restore your faith by supporting your community this Friday with Live/Give Park City. I’m asking you to give until it feels good on Friday.  Why give? Giving is an act of faith: faith in causes, faith in people, and faith in an ever-better future. Why participate in Live/Give PC? Because it’s fun, it’s needed, and it connects us to something bigger.   Find organizations that match your passions and invest in those who keep Park City great. Politics be damned, we can each find something we care about. Stretch a little, give more than usual, and we all win.Andy BeermanPark City Community Foundation board member The post Why give? appeared first on Park Record.
