FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — A Fall River man has been arrested for alleged possession of a ghost gun, according to the Fall River Police Department.
Jamauri Bates, 24, is charged with numerous firearm related offenses, among other charges.
Officers responded to the area of Peckham and Barrett Streets on November 9 for reports of a male in possession of a firearm.
Officers then received updated information about the suspect’s description and last known whereabouts, in the area of Tuttle and Benjamin Streets.
Bates allegedly fled on foot upon encountering officers and was arrested after a short pursuit.
Bates was found in possession of a Polymer 80 ghost gun, according to police.
