2 injured in early morning Rapid City shooting

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- Authorities in Rapid City are investigating a shooting that left two people injured in Rapid City.
Rapid City police say shortly before 5 a.m. Wednesday, they were dispatched to 211 E. Knollwood Drive for a report of a juvenile male who had been shot. On scene, police gave aid to the juvenile and he was transported to the hospital.
2 people killed in Brown County crash identified
Witnesses told police a car had fled the area shortly after the shooting. A short time later authorities found out that car was at the hospital to drop off an adult male passenger who also had gunshot wounds. A gun was found on the man prior to him being admitted for medical treatment.
The juvenile and the man were both treated for serious, non-life-threatening injuries. Police are still working to determine the circumstances leading up to the incident, but they say that at this time, they believe the two people shot knew each other and does not appear to be random in nature.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
