MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- An 89-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in Oxford, Mississippi, according to authorities.
On Tuesday, around 6:48 a.m., the Oxford Police Department responded to a possible shooting in the 200 block of Herman Drive.

When they arrived, officers found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. They were pronounced dead on the scene, police say.
Reports say Herman Slack, of Oxford, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
The investigation is ongoing.
