North Carolina man charged with murder in deadly DWI crash

BEAUFORT, N.C. (WNCT) — On Tuesday, DA Scott Thomas announced that Cody Schulz was indicted on multiple charges including second-degree murder relating to a car crash that happened on March 3.
The collision happened in Morehead City. One victim died as a result of the crash and three other victims had serious injuries.
Schulz was indicted for the following charges:
second-degree murder
three counts of aggravated felony serious injury by vehicle
felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle
possession of a firearm by a felon
DWI
reckless driving
failure to stop at a red light
driving while license revoked
open container
possession of marijuana up to one-half ounces
Schulz was charged on March 3 and has remained in custody since then.
