Nov 13, 2024
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Fog decided to pay a visit north of the Valley on this Wednesday morning, with visibility down to about 3 miles near Delano, lost Hills, and Wasco. Expect fog to develop once again Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
A small ridge is planning to swing by Central California today, bringing with it just a slight bump in temperatures for Wednesday and Thursday.
Highs are expected to hang around the high 60s and low 70s, which is near normal for this time of year.
Another storm system is gearing up to make an appearance in Kern County from Thursday evening through early Saturday morning. Friday is looking like a rainy day, so don't forget your umbrella! Snow levels are expected to drop near 4000 feet late Friday night into Saturday morning, with up to an inch or two of snow possible over our mountain passes.
To prepare you for what's to come, a Winter Storm Watch has been issued for certain locations starting from 4 p.m. on Thursday until 10 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye out for a possible upgrade to a Winter Weather Advisory in the next day or so.
Kern County is also expected to receive up to a quarter of an inch of rain with this system.
