BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) --Beginning today, you can search the Bakersfield Police Department's historical crime data through its new free community database. BPD's Community Crime Dashboard went live at 6a.m. Wednesday. The dashboard allows you to search historical crime data throughout the city. CAPK invests in seniors, distribution sites to fight hunger in Kern County Database information is updated regularly and is based only on crimes reported within BPD's jurisdiction. You can filter the information by crime type, location, and time frame, the department said through a press release. It also features an interactive map and charts on major violent and property crime rates per 1,000.
