ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — A homeless facility five years in the making will finally open this morning in Attleboro. According to a release from State Representative Jim Hawkins, the facility will have 18 crisis beds on the first floor,  with Catholic Charities as the provider.  22 permanent housing units will be on the second and third floor, with Father Bills & Mainspring as the provider. Hawkins and other officials began work on the new facility in 2019 in partnership with Neighborworks Housing Solutions. It’s expected to begin operation before winter. The ribbon cutting will be at 9:30 a.m. ABC6 spoke with Hawkins about the facility prior to the ribbon cutting. Categories: News
