Corvette Club donates $8K to support local veterans

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - After a successful charity car show in October, the Corvette Club of Western Massachusetts donated that money tonight to help local veteran organizations.
The official donation presentation took place at Central Chevrolet in West Springfield on Tuesday evening.
The Corvette Club presented a check for $6-thousand to the 'One Call Away Foundation,' which helps veterans who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder. They also donated $2,000 to the Ludlow Office of Veterans Services.
David Virella, a member of the club tells 22News, "Through their veteran services, they have a program where on Thanksgiving they collect funds and they make sure every veteran winds up with a turkey meal forThanksgiving."
The Corvette Club will be participating in the 'Wreaths Across America' in Agawam in December to honor local fallen heroes.
