The Winds of Change! (Tuesday Evening Forecast)
Nov 12, 2024
I’m sure you noticed, but it was just a tad windy today. We’ll still experience gusty winds from the north as a colder airmass settles over New England. Expect wind speeds in the teens through the evening, and gusts surpassing 20mph. It’ll be a mostly clear evening/night ahead, and temperatures will plummet into the upper 20s after midnight. Bundle up if you’re heading out late, or early tomorrow morning for that matter!
Tomorrow afternoon will remain chilly– highs will only get into the mid to upper 40s. While not as windy as Tuesday, Wednesday will remain breezy, so layers are your friends. On the bright side (literally), we’ll see plenty of sunshine!
Thursday is a near copycat of Wednesday. The only real difference is that the winds, while remaining largely from the north, will die down quite a bit.
The biggest issue with the forecast this week is that I’ve now gotten through 153 words of this article and haven’t had to mention a single drop of rain. In case that’s not indication enough, rain is still really hard to come by right now. Our next chance is Friday evening, where an area of low pressure off the coast is going to try its best so spit a few showers back at us. However, rain chances remain slim. Bad news for our wildfire potential, and for the drought.
