PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Rhode Island College (RIC) is offering prospective students a one-day-only opportunity to apply for free. For the third consecutive year, RIC will hold "Apply to RIC for Free Day" on Friday, Nov. 15, waiving its $50 application fee for students applying for the fall or spring 2025 semesters. The fee waiver is open to all Rhode Island residents and covers undergraduate, graduate, Bachelor of Professional Studies, and transfer applications. RIC admissions staff will also be available to assist students and families with the Common Application and FAFSA. RELATED: Hope Scholarship to cover 2 years of tuition for in-state students at RIC RIC's president, Dr. Jack Warner, noted that more students are pursuing RIC for its high-demand programs like nursing and computer science, and the possibility of the Hope Scholarship covering their final two years. "Our mission is to make a high-quality four-year degree accessible to more Rhode Islanders, and 'Apply to RIC for Free Day' is a way to remove one more barrier to entry," Warner said. "Waiving the application fee is a powerful incentive to help students make that decision easier and earlier." To apply as an undergraduate, use the fee waiver code "APPLYFREE24." Graduate applications require no code. Students can expect an admissions decision within two weeks after applying. LEARN MORE: Apply to RIC for Free Day Close Thanks for signing up!
