Gillette Stadium to host NavyNotre Dame game in 2026
Nov 12, 2024
FOXBORO, Mass. (WPRI) — Another college football rivalry will soon play at Gillette Stadium for the first time.
The Navy-Notre Dame game will be held in Foxboro for the first time in the 99-game series on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026.
"The extraordinary effort put forth by the Kraft Group, the New England Patriots and the entire New England area for the 2023 Army-Navy Game made it logical to bring back another great rivalry," Naval Academy Director of Athletics Chet Gladchuk said. "The Boston area is a terrific place to visit in the fall and I have no doubt both Navy and Notre Dame fans will pack Gillette Stadium."

The matchup will be the Fighting Irish's first time playing at Gillette and the Midshipmen's second appearance.
Navy will be the home team for the game.
"This is where our nation and our military traditions started, and Gillette Stadium has a strong record of successfully hosting large events from the Army-Navy Game to the upcoming FIFA World Cup," Gov. Maura Healey said.
