EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) — A few weeks ago, hail up to the size of baseballs pummeled parts of the metro, smashing windshields and damaging roofs. As the recovery continues, one metro woman hit a snag after all of her roofing supplies were swiped from her driveway. "They got all of mine. As much as you see here is what they got because this is a replacement for this roof," said Sandy Beasley who had all her roofing supplies stolen. So, the pallets sat overnight in the driveway. When Beasley work up, thousands of dollars worth of shingles, nails, and other supplies were gone. "First thing I did was look up there to see if there was anything up on the roof. But I thought, it's 6:00 in the morning. There's not going to be anybody up on my roof," said Beasley. Her contractor said in his 14 years of work, he's seen a few items stolen, but never something as big as this. "Everything. A second time," said Cain. Even though the timeline changed, Beasley said she's thankful work is finally getting done. "He's a really super nice guy and willing to work and, you know, I have other damage, too, besides the roof. And he's going to take care of it all," said Beasley. To prevent this, her contractor has some tips for those who might also have roofing materials outside. "So, lights on, signs, putting them in the garage, a tarp, and delivering the day of are the things that can prevent this," said Cain. It's still not known who did this. News 4 talked to a few other neighbors who said they haven't experienced something like this, but they are planning to be careful when they get their roof fixed as well.
