MEQUON, Wis. (WFRV) - A manufacturing plant in Wisconsin will close in March 2025, laying off about 45 employees.
According to a Worker Adjustment and Retention Notification letter submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Hultafors Group North America, LLC, will permanently close its manufacturing plant at 6333 W. Donges Bay Road in Mequon.

The reduction in operations will result in the permanent layoff of approximately 45 employees. The layoffs will occur in two phases, with the first scheduled for March 28, 2025, and the second by the fourth quarter of 2025.
Hultafors Group North America plans to offer severance benefits and transition programs, including outplacement services, to affected employees.
Information regarding the number of employees affected by job title will be maintained at the facility. The company states that employees will receive all earned wages and agreed-upon benefits at the time of termination.
