EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- It was a windy Tuesday for the Borderland region, but those winds should subside by the time the sun sets, leaving El Paso with cooler temperatures for Wednesday.  Wednesday, we’ll see a high near 70 and a low around 40. Thursday will be slightly warmer with a high at 75 and a low near 43. Friday is going to be above average as well with a high near 78 and low of 50.  Come Saturday, winds return with the chance for blowing dust. The high will be around 80 and low near 46. On Sunday, temperatures will drop to around 70 with a high chance of showers throughout the day and overnight. The winds will carry over into Monday along with slight chances for scattered showers. We’ll see a high near 62, but with the wind chill, temperatures can feel a few degrees cooler. The low will be near freezing at 34 but won’t quite get there.   Our first freeze is reserved for Wednesday morning where we’ll hit 31 degrees and see a high that day around 67. Conditions will remain calm and mostly sunny.
