(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Overtime Sports Bar and Grill on Dublin Boulevard and Union Boulevard held a free lunch for veterans on Monday, Nov. 11, and many high school ROTC students showed up to hear from veterans and their loved ones. One veteran said he will always enjoy seeing the younger generation learn about Veterans Day and its importance to our country. "I mean, I find... when we do this type of events, veterans really wanting to talk to kids and kids really want to talk to veterans, especially if they really have an interesting story... that can be shared." Kevin and Vicki Bosley helped with the event to honor their son, who died in the line of duty. "Well, I am a veteran myself, so I appreciate when someone says 'thank you for your service,'" said Kevin. "And then the Vietnam veterans... say welcome home to them because... they were not welcomed home very well." "Well, every time I see a veteran, I always acknowledge them, regardless of the day," said Vicki. "I do it every day, and I always take the step to acknowledge them and tell them 'thank you.'"
