A Southwest flight with engine trouble made an emergency landing Tuesday morning in San Jose, authorities said.
At about 8:45 a.m., the plane, which reportedly departed from San Jose Mineta International Airport on its way to Burbank, lost power to one engine midflight and was forced to return to SJC, airport officials said.
The plane, with 77 aboard, landed safely, and no injuries were immediately reported.
It was not immediately clear what caused the engine to lose power.
