MANHATTAN (KSNT) - Police in Manhattan said three teenagers landed in serious trouble after they allegedly set a warehouse on fire and used a social media app to record the crime. Ashley Tokoi with the Riley County Police Department (RCPD) said in a press release that officers received a call around 2:50 p.m. on Nov. 9 with a report that a large warehouse under construction the 1200 block of Kretschmer Drive had been set on fire. Witnesses told police three juveniles were spotted running from the area toward some businesses on McCall Road. Officers arriving in the area found the three juveniles in the 400 block of McCall Road. They identified two 15-year-old boys and a 12-year-old boy as being connected to the arson incident at the warehouse. Tokoi said one of the 15-year-olds admitted to setting some cardboard boxes on fire using a spray can and lighter. Officers were recovered a Snapchat video of the incident. The teens are now facing charges of arson, burglary and contributing to the misconduct of a minor. Police released the 12-year-old to his guardian after the incident. For more crime news, click here.
