They said they were also told he had a four-year-old child with him and had pointed the gun at the child. APD said officers gave the man orders and shots were fired. The suspect was killed. Two other people were shot and had non-life-threatening injuries and were found at Carlisle and Lomas. A third person was shot at the gas station and was taken to the hospital. APD said that they are investigating how those three people were shot. [2] APD: Man fired gun outside ABQ restaurant after being asked to leave - Police say 41-year-old Brandon Hovey was being aggressive with staff at the Quarter Celtic Brewpub on Sunday. Staff told police that Hovey had been inappropriate with a waitress earlier in the evening and was asked to leave. Investigators say Hovey got a gun from a friend's car and used it to hit the manager in the stomach and fired shots into the air before leaving the scene. He was later found nearby and arrested. [5] Historic snowfall in New Mexico helps ski resorts open up early - Ski areas around New Mexico are continuing to reap the benefits of a recent winter storm. Pajarito Mountain ski area received around 40 inches of snowfall in last week's storm, allowing them to open over 80% of the mountain a month ahead of schedule. Sandia Peak ski area also saw an early season opener, they were originally set to open the week after Christmas. Sipapu and Purgatory are set to open this weekend. Ski Santa Fe, Red River and Taos are scheduled to open the week of Thanksgiving.
