2 deer illegally killed in eastern SD

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- The South Dakota Game Fish & Parks is investigating a hunting violation that happened in Hamlin and Kingsbury County.
The Hamlin County Sheriff's Office says within a week from Nov. 3 through the 9th, two whitetail bucks were shot during the night within 8 miles of one another along the Hamlin/Kingsbury County line.

The first buck was shot on Nov. 3 near 196th St and 441st Ave. The second buck was shot on Nov. 9 near 199th St and 447th Ave. Both deer were shot off the road out onto private property with rifles and were left to lay.
"If you see something out of the ordinary, or hear gunshots well beyond dark, reach out to your local conservation officer and help protect our states wildlife. Any information that leads to the arrest of these individuals is eligible for a reward," the post from the sheriff's office said.
